Civil law - Regulatory

Chambers has an emerging specialism in regulatory and disciplinary work. Members represent both registered persons and regulators across a range of bodies and tribunals. Members have also appeared as legal advisors / assessors.

Chambers has particular experience before the following regulators:

  • Health and Care Professions Council
  • Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Care Council Wales
  • Education Workforce Council
  • General Teaching Council for England

Members of the team also have experience in education related tribunals, specifically representing students undergoing disciplinary processes in universities and also advising local authorities in relation to school admission appeals.

Our barristers are able to advise at all stages in the process and welcome early involvement in cases whether instructions are forthcoming from regulatory bodies, unions or individuals. Advice and representation on appeal can also be provided, if required.
