Natasha is a family law barrister and appears at all levels of court including the High Court. She specialises in public law proceedings having established a strong and busy practice in this area for over 15 years. She is often instructed in cases involving complex legal and factual issues requiring the necessity of expert evidence. Natasha has experience (led by King’s Counsel and on her own where other parties are represented by KC’s) of cases involving:

  • Child death
  • ‘Shaken baby’
  • Non-accidental and catastrophic injuries to children
  • FGM and honour based violence
  • Sexual abuse including inter-familial sexual abuse
  • Chronic and gross neglect of children (which has resulted in child death)
  • Human trafficking
  • Fabricated and induced illnesses

Practice Areas

Family law

Natasha practices exclusively in family law with a particular focus on care and adoption proceedings. Her practice specialises in cases concerning serious allegations of non-accidental injuries, neglect and sexual abuse. She is hard-working and pays attention to detail. Natasha represents Local Authorities, Children’s Guardians, Intervenors and is primarily instructed on behalf of Parents. She is able to explain difficult legal concepts in an easy to understand way and adopts a sensitive manner when dealing with vulnerable clients who sometimes require the assistance of the Official Solicitor, intermediaries and/or advocates. Natasha is thorough in her case preparation and takes a pragmatic approach to her instructions.

Natasha provides CPD training as a member of the Angel Chambers Family Team to local authorities and solicitors on recent developments in case law and legislation.
